If you’ve been curious about what’s involved in a Branding Photoshoot, let me share how I make your experience smooth and fun. I get it – clients are a bit nervous at the start. After all, this is your chance to showcase who you are as a business owner! Take comfort in the fact that my photoshoots are organized and designed to flow effortlessly.
During a traditional headshot session, it’s pretty straightforward – decide what to wear, make sure your hair and make-up (if wearing any) are at your best, show up and I shoot. At a Branding Photoshoot, we add some excitement with staged areas, props, and outfit changes. It may sound intimidating, but I am dedicated to making my clients feel comfortable, even if they’ve never had a photoshoot.
What’s Involved in a Branding Session?
It starts with a conversation, where I get to know about your business, your journey, and what prompts you to have new photos taken. Is it for your website re-launch? A magazine article? The more I know, the more I can tailor the session for you.
After we discuss the most appropriate package for your needs, you choose a date and time. If you don’t have a location in mind, we can choose it later. You’ll pay your deposit and sign the contract so we can get started on your customized experience.
How I Design Your Branding Photoshoot
I’ve received your deposit and signed contract and I’m excited about working with you! I’ll send you a questionnaire to learn more details about your brand, style, personality, and clientele. The more information you share, the better. When I receive your completed questionnaire, I compile a Must Shot List and a Style Pinterest Board.
Your Must Shot List contains all the photo setups we’ll take. Examples include:
It could be anything that accurately represents your personality, how you work or your company brand. With many branding photoshoots behind me, I can help you think of plenty of creative ways to express your message.
With these poses in mind, I’m off to Pinterest land to spot some representative photos that will give you an idea of what we’re targeting.
The Final Touches
The last stage of planning is our Branding & Strategy Planning session where I’ll collect your feedback on the Must Shot List and the Style Pinterest board poses. We’ll also go over your wardrobe and answer all your questions. This will help us perfect our custom session and begin the day with confidence!
If you have your own location or a space you prefer to rent, just give me the address; otherwise, I can suggest a list of spaces for you to rent. Location rental cost is not included in my package, and travel fees may apply.
A week before the photo shoot, I’ll send you a check-in email, and one more email the day before, to confirm. Again, we can discuss last-minute questions and you can text me pictures of outfits you’re considering.
It’s The Big Day!
We start our photoshoot poised and ready, knowing we have already covered the details that will make your shoot outstanding. Get out your props and wipe down your laptop screen (those smudges show up poorly on camera).
Because we did our homework, we can flow through the shots in our list, break briefly for your outfit changes, and consider some spontaneous ideas. My clients always tell me that the session was so much fun, the time just flew by!
After it’s over, I know you can’t wait to see the results. Within 2 weeks, I’ll send you proofs lightly edited and cropped. You’ll have 2 weeks to select your favorites. Once that’s done, your new branding photos will be fully edited and delivered electronically in under 4 weeks.
Here’s what almost every client tells me at the end, “That was amazing! When can we do it again?”
