After you receive your personal branding photos from your photographer, the first thing you probably do is update your LinkedIn or social media profile photo and refresh the About Me page on your website. Maybe a few days or weeks later, you start using them in your social media posts.
That’s great! We love seeing you use your branding photos! But there are five other places you may be forgetting to use them and why they matter.
If you’re a member of a chamber of commerce or part of a paid organization, you likely have an online profile or directory listing. These profiles allow you to add a headshot or branding photo, share details about your business, and include contact information.
If you haven’t updated these yet, you’re missing a golden opportunity to be found online. Many organization profiles and directories are SEO-friendly, meaning they can help your business show up on Google searches.
If you have a client guide, lead magnet, freebie, proposal template, eBook, or any type of PDF, don’t stop at adding just your logo. Include your headshot or branding photo as well.
Whether it’s on the introduction page or the final page with a call to action, this is another way to increase brand recognition and build trust with your audience.
You’ve probably seen thank-you pages that include a short video of the business owner welcoming you after signing up for a masterclass or challenge. If you’re anything like me and not a big fan of recording videos (true story—it once took me nearly an hour to record a 90-second video 😅), there’s another great option.
Add a headshot or branding photo along with a short message about who you are and what to expect next. This works beautifully for thank-you pages, email automations, welcome sequences, freebie signups, and event follow-ups. It keeps the conversation going and helps nurture your audience.
If you sell online courses, be sure to include one or two branding photos on your course or sales landing page, especially in the About Me section.
You can also use your photos on course cover images, hero banners, or throughout the page to create a more cohesive and personal experience. There are so many strategic ways to incorporate your brand photos into your website and sales pages.
Last but not least: your email signature. We all have one, but adding a headshot can help yours stand out.
This is especially helpful after networking events. When people receive your follow-up email, your photo helps them instantly recognize and remember you. You can use tools like Hubspot Email Signature Generator, Canva, or simply search “free email signature generator” to find one you like. (Just note that some platforms may require an account or a small fee to download your signature.)
You invested in your branding photos; now it’s time to let them work for you and support the growth of your business.
