Meet my client, Marlie Traver.

Marlie Traver is the owner and artist of Marlie Bakes Cakes in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She is a cottage baker, which means she bakes and creates cakes and treats out of her home.

Marlie is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute’s Pastry Program in NYC. She spent the last 20 years working in many different facets of the food industry, from marketing & public relations to professional bakeries and food retail. 

During our consultation, Marlie was clear on what she wanted in her branding photos. She needed photos that show her lifestyle, headshots, action shots of her decorating, her love of sweets, her process, and celebration shots for the upcoming launch of her business.

We did her photoshoot in her home with lots of fun props – fully decorated cakes, cakes that needed decorating, cupcakes, and confetti.

I was lucky enough to taste one of Marlie’s amazing treats – Dark Chocolate Smores Cakesicles. It was one of the best desserts we have ever tasted. My girls were in awe of how pretty the treats were and the glitter popsicle sticks. Check out this Instagram Reel of how she makes the cakesicles.
