Meet my client, Dr. Rasheda L Weaver.

Dr. Weaver is the Founder and CEO of Weaver’s Social Enterprise Directory, Inc. and the author of “Social Entrepreneurship: A Practical Introduction.”

She is an award-winning, global expert on social and commercial entrepreneurship. Her dissertation is the first large-scale study on the social, economic, and legal activities of social enterprises in the United States.

She is sponsored by the Biden-Harris Administration’s African Descent Social Entrepreneurship Network, wherein she works with 100 social entrepreneurs of African descent from 25 countries to develop social innovations and enterprises that advance economic prosperity in the United States and beyond.

Dr. Weaver found me when she posted on a Facebook group looking for a branding photographer.

During our consultation, she shared that she’s looking for a photographer and videographer to create branding photos and videos that would help her share what she does and most importantly, where she came from. She wants to show others that it doesn’t matter what your circumstances or where you came from, you have the power to change your life and make a difference. It was an inspirational conversation!

After our video call, I recommended a few videographers to Dr. Weaver. Within a few weeks, I was so excited to learn that I’m working with Kushagra Kevat of Happy Films Media! I have always admired his branding videos, it was a dream come true to work with him on a project.

All three of us were in constant communication to plan Dr. Weaver’s photo and video shoot. We decided to do her photoshoot in two days to cover three locations.

On the first day, we did Dr. Weaver’s branding shoot at a local park to capture some B-rolls and some lifestyle headshots. Then we head over to a rented studio to capture some action shots of Dr. Weaver working on the computer, with her book, and doing her Social Enterprise Bootcamp with some attendees.

On the second day, we went to Dr. Weaver’s hometown in the Bronx to capture some shots of her at the train station where she rode to school in mid-town Manhattan and on the street where she grew up.

She needed these branding photos and videos to update her website and build her personal brand on social media. She even used her branding photos for a feature on Canvas Rebel.

Working with Dr. Weaver was one of the most inspiring experiences. This is why I love what I do! I love being around other women business owners, hearing their stories, and learning from them.
